A modern, realistic coin flip simulator. Flip one coin or up to 100 at once, choose from four coin types, adjust animation speed, toggle sound, and track statistics including heads/tails counts, percentages, and longest streaks.

About the Coin Flip

A coin flip is one of the simplest fair random decisions we have — two outcomes, each with a 50% chance, and no memory of the last toss. This tool recreates that experience in the browser with a realistic 3D animation and truly random results powered by the same cryptographic primitive used for TLS and password managers. Everything runs locally: no network requests, no analytics on your result, no ads between you and the coin. Flip a single coin, batch up to 100 tosses for a probability demo, or leave it running to watch statistics converge toward 50/50.

Common use cases

- Settling a decision fairly between two options. - Choosing who goes first in a game or match. - Teaching probability, independent events, and streaks in class. - Running quick Monte Carlo demos with 50–100 flips. - Breaking ties in team meetings and pair-programming rotations.

Tips and tricks

- Press the space bar for the fastest possible flip loop. - Turn down the animation speed to 0.3× when demonstrating a single dramatic toss on screen. - Use a batch of 100 flips to show that short streaks are normal — a run of 5–7 heads in 100 flips is expected. - Copy the full history to paste into a stats worksheet or spreadsheet.

Limitations

- The animation is cosmetic; the outcome is decided the moment you click Flip. - History is stored only for the current tab and is cleared when you reset statistics or reload. - Native sharing is only available on browsers that support the Web Share API; on others, the share button copies the result to your clipboard.

Key features

Realistic 3D animation

A smooth CSS 3D flip with configurable speed makes every toss feel like a real coin spinning in the air.

Cryptographically random

Results use the browser's crypto.getRandomValues API, so heads and tails are truly 50/50 on every flip.

Flip up to 100 coins

Toss a single coin for a quick decision, or generate a batch of up to 100 flips at once for probability demos.

Four coin styles

Choose a generic coin, US quarter, euro, or British pound — each with its own colors, edge, and typography.

Full statistics

Live totals for heads, tails, percentages, and the longest heads and tails streaks across your session.

Flip history

Every toss is added to a scrollable history with auto-scroll to the latest result.

Sound effects

Optional coin-flip sound generated in the browser with the Web Audio API — no downloads, no autoplay.

Keyboard shortcut

Press the space bar to flip without touching the mouse — great for demos and rapid decisions.

Copy and share

Copy the full result list to the clipboard or share the latest toss with the native share sheet.

Works offline

Once the page has loaded, every flip runs locally — no network, no tracking, no ads on your result.
