Privacy Policy

Toolora Online ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://the-toolsmith.lovable.app and the browser-based tools published on it. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what your choices are.

Tool inputs. Most tools process everything locally in your browser. In those cases, the text, files, or images you provide never leave your device. Tools that require server processing are clearly marked on the page with a short privacy note.

Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and a secure hash of your password. We do not store your password in plain text. Optional profile fields (display name, avatar) are stored only if you provide them.

Usage analytics. We record anonymous, aggregated counters — page views, tool runs, and general navigation events — to understand which tools are useful. These records do not contain the content of your inputs and are not tied to your identity.

Support and requests. When you submit a tool request or contact us, we store the message and, if provided, your email address, so we can follow up.

Technical logs. Our infrastructure records short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, request path) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted.

We use the information above to operate the site, deliver the tools you request, prevent abuse, respond to messages you send us, and decide which tools to build next. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR: legitimate interest (running and improving the site, keeping it secure), consent (where required, for example any future non-essential cookies), performance of a contract (providing you an account you signed up for), and legal obligation (responding to lawful requests).

We use a small amount of local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark) and, if you sign in, your authenticated session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.

We use a small set of infrastructure providers to run the site. As of the effective date above, these are: Lovable Cloud (application hosting), Supabase (database, authentication, storage), and Cloudflare (edge network and DNS). Each provider processes data only to deliver its service to us, and each publishes its own privacy documentation.

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Tool requests and support messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised. Aggregated analytics counters are kept indefinitely because they do not identify individuals. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@the-toolsmith.lovable.app from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
